Role Overview
The Procurement & Vendor Management Executive will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing vendors for materials, services, and subcontract packages. The role focuses on cost optimization, quality assurance, timely delivery, and maintaining a reliable vendor ecosystem aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Sourcing & Development
- Identify and onboard qualified vendors for civil, MEP, finishing, and specialized works
- Develop and maintain a vendor database with technical and commercial credentials
- Conduct vendor capability assessments and due diligence
2. Procurement Execution
- Float RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations
- Perform technical and commercial comparison (TBA/CBA)
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs)
3. Contract & Compliance Management
- Ensure all vendors comply with statutory requirements (GST, registrations, licenses)
- Draft and review vendor agreements in coordination with legal teams
- Track contract performance, variations, and claims
4. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor procurement against approved BOQ and budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing strategies
- Maintain rate analysis and benchmarking data
5. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate with site teams for material planning and delivery schedules
- Ensure timely delivery of materials as per project timelines
- Resolve supply chain disruptions proactively
6. Quality & Performance Monitoring
- Work with QA/QC teams to ensure materials meet specifications
- Track vendor performance (quality, timelines, responsiveness)
- Develop vendor rating and evaluation systems
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain procurement records, approvals, and audit trails
- Prepare MIS reports on procurement status, cost savings, and vendor performance
- Support internal and external audits
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
- Understanding of BOQs, drawings, and material specifications
- Vendor relationship management
- Analytical and cost comparison skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems ( Tally / Zoho)
- Strong coordination and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce
- MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) preferred
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
