THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
This role operates in a fast-paced, delivery-driven rail environment where timelines are tight and coordination is critical. The successful candidate is comfortable working close to production, resolving issues in real time, and improving methods, without compromising safety, quality, or compliance.
> 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing or industrialization preferably in method engineering.
> Experience with rail, transportation, or heavy industrial environments is beneficial.
> Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) required.
> Strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, welding, and industrial processes.
> Experience supporting shop-floor execution and resolving production issues.
> Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
> Familiarity with quality systems, inspection requirements, and regulated environments.
> Experience with tooling, jigs, fixtures, and process optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
The Site Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient, safe, and repeatable manufacturing and refurbishment processes. This role bridges engineering, shop operations, quality, and project teams to ensure work is executed efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
> Define work instructions, routings, and process steps for shop execution.
> Translate engineering drawings into clear, buildable shop documentation.
> Develop manufacturing, assembly, and refurbishment methods for rolling stock and components.
> Coordinate with design, systems, and structural engineers to ensure manufacturability.
> Define tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment requirements.
> Support industrialization of new products, modifications, and refurbishment programs.
> Work directly with shop teams to validate methods and resolve production issues.
