As a Data Analyst Automation Analysis at Springer Nature, you will play a crucial role in contributing to data and reporting activities supporting business as usual processes and strategic initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- **Data Analysis**:
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Looker and Google BigQuery.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for improving operational efficiency and supporting decision-making.
- Contribute to developing and documenting data standards, definitions, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement KPIs, data definitions, and reporting frameworks to measure success.
- **Journal Care**:
- Gather system requirements from publishers, editors, and service providers.
- Set up, maintain, and administrate peer review systems.
- Conduct presentations and training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure quality of article-level activities and act as an escalation point for individual journals.
- Maintain journal-specific records and documentation.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also be expected to:
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement, quality, and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of openness, transparency, and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in complex data.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and able to lead projects independently or as part of a team.
- Degree or equivalent work experience required; additional training in data analysis or business intelligence is desirable.
