As a Legal Compliance Manager, your role encompasses managing contract lifecycles and mitigating risks efficiently. Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle by drafting, vetting, negotiating, and executing agreements within defined Turn Around Times (TATs).
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks in vendor agreements, seeking necessary deviation approvals from internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring contract renewals and ensuring timely execution to prevent operational disruptions.
- Improving drafting standards by emphasizing clarity, commercial detailing, and robust risk mitigation clauses.
- Maintaining organized legal databases and contract repositories for easy retrieval, audit preparedness, and compliance tracking.
Additionally, you will be responsible for process governance and tool adoption by:
- Ensuring compliance with SOPs for various agreement closures.
- Periodically reviewing and updating standard templates and SOPs to align with legal and core business requirements.
- Facilitating complete usage of the contract management system, providing necessary training to business teams on system usage and processes.
You will also provide litigation support and advisory services by:
- Assisting in recovery disputes, responding to legal notices, and managing ongoing litigation or claims related to vendor and business relationships.
- Offering proactive legal advice for new business initiatives, projects, collaborations, and product launches.
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to strengthen contract negotiations and legal advisories.
Moreover, you will focus on knowledge management and stakeholder collaboration by:
- Staying updated on legal developments and regulatory changes relevant to the e-commerce and beauty industry.
- Promoting collaboration within the legal team and cross-functionally with business stakeholders through effective communication.
- Actively participating in learning programs for continuous professional development.
In terms of qualifications, you should have:
- Education: LLB/LLM from a reputed law school.
- Experience: 4+ years of post-qualification experience in an in-house legal role, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or service industry.
- Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in contract lifecycle management, negotiation, and legal risk assessment.
- Attributes: Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
