About The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and self-driven AWS Foundation Engineer to take full ownership of our enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be the architectural force behind our core cloud networking, security, identity governance, and cost optimization strategies.

This is a high-autonomy position built for an independent thinker. You will be expected to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex cloud foundations with minimal to no guidance. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, an unwavering commitment to Infrastructure as Code (specifically Terraform), and elite problem-solving skills to ensure our AWS estate is secure, highly available, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect core infrastructure by designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade networking and hybrid connectivity solutions across a multi-account AWS environment.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform. Develop, test, and maintain all foundational cloud infrastructure strictly through Terraform.
• Govern identity and security by establishing and proactively monitoring robust security postures, threat detection mechanisms, and fine-grained access controls.
• Own the full cloud foundation lifecycle with accountability from design to implementation.
• Perform complex troubleshooting to resolve network, security, and architectural bottlenecks.
• Optimize operations and cloud cost continuously while ensuring compliance with internal standards and external frameworks.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5 6 years of hands-on AWS experience with strong expertise in networking, security, and governance.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE), including workspace management, policy enforcement, remote state management, and CI/CD integrations.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations.
• Deep expertise in IAM policy authoring, SCPs, resource-based policies, permission boundaries, and ABAC.
• Hands-on experience with GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, and Detective.
• Strong scripting skills using Python or Bash for automation and operational tooling.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty and/or AWS Certified Security Specialty preferred.
