Production Manager – Knits Garment Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in knit garment manufacturing to lead operations at a 100+ machine factory. The candidate should be technically sound, highly process-driven, and focused on improving efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Key Responsibilities

Oversee complete production flow: cutting → stitching → finishing → packing for knit garments.

Plan and execute daily/weekly production targets.

Drive line efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost control

Implement line balancing and workflow optimization

Monitor WIP and ensure smooth production flow with minimal bottlenecks

Coordinate closely with merchandising, sampling, and QA teams

Ensure timely delivery while maintaining required quality standards

Technical Expertise (Knits Specific)

Strong experience in T-shirts, polos, coordinates, loungewear, activewear

Hands-on knowledge of knit fabrics (single jersey, rib, interlock, fleece, etc.)

Expertise in SMV calculation, line setup, and productivity improvement

Experience using folders, attachments, and work aids to increase output

Understanding of printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing processes

Ability to reduce rejections and improve first-pass quality

Vendor & Contractor Network

Strong network of knit stitching, cutting, and finishing contractors

Ability to manage and scale outsourced production when required

Candidate Profile

10+ years experience in knits garment production

Proven experience handling factories with 100+ machines

Strong leadership and team management skills

Quality-focused with a strong grip on production timelines

Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented
