Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience teaching in K-12 general education environments (elementary, middle, or high schools)
• Proficiency in teaching chess, robotics, or coding to school-age children
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to engage students with varying levels of experience and interest
• Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable commuting to multiple campuses across the Washington DC metropolitan area
• Passion for mentorship, creativity, and hands-on learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate lessons in chess, robotics, and coding after school (between 3:00pm and 6:00pm; 5-10 hours per week)
• Create a positive, enthusiastic learning environment for diverse student groups
• Adapt curriculum to best suit various ages and skill levels, encouraging participation and collaboration
• Foster critical thinking, teamwork, and innovation through project-based activities
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with campus staff and parents as needed
