DevOps Engineer and Cloud Platform Engineer

Role Overview:

You will be joining SiteRecon as the founding Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure from scratch, aimed at transforming property measurements for landscapers and snow removal contractors in the B2B SaaS industry. Your primary responsibility will be to architect a scalable foundation that can handle thousands to millions of property measurements efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the platform stack, including infrastructure and developer tools, with a focus on building the right solutions without bureaucracy or legacy systems.
• Define and implement security, reliability, and developer experience strategies, laying the foundation for future growth.
• Architect the cloud platform on GCP, making critical decisions on network topology and data encryption strategies.
• Establish a proper CI/CD pipeline to reduce deployment time significantly.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to create sustainable patterns for future use.
• Lead the SOC2 compliance journey by integrating security into all layers of the infrastructure.
• Implement customer-managed encryption and zero-trust networking as core principles.
• Build a self-service platform for developers to provision infrastructure quickly.
• Design observability systems to empower developers in production environments.
• Aim to become the go-to person for DevOps within the organization, ensuring sub-5 minute deployments and high uptime with comprehensive monitoring.

Qualifications Required:

• Strong experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering role with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position.

• Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Ability to automate tasks using Go or Python.
• Proven track record of building scalable platforms.
