Role Description As a Beauty Advisor at SEPHORA in McLean, VA, you will deliver personalized beauty experiences to clients on-site, helping them discover products that meet their needs and preferences. You will welcome and engage clients, ask discovery questions, provide product demonstrations, and offer tailored recommendations across makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance. You will maintain strong product knowledge, stay current on trends and new launches, and share that expertise to build trust and loyalty. Daily responsibilities include meeting retail sales goals, processing transactions, replenishing and organizing merchandise, and maintaining clean, hygienic testers and work areas in line with safety and sanitation standards. You will also collaborate closely with teammates, support in-store events or promotions, and contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment for clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including excellent Customer Service and Retail Sales abilities, with a focus on listening, building rapport, and creating memorable client experiences.
• Solid Product Knowledge across makeup, Skin Care, haircare, and fragrance, with the capacity to learn new brands, formulas, and ingredients quickly.
• Background or interest in Cosmetology and Skin Care application techniques, including shade matching, skincare consultations, and basic artistry skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusion, respect, and a welcoming client experience.
• Collaborative mindset and reliability in supporting team goals, store standards, and visual merchandising guidelines.
• Previous experience in beauty, retail, or hospitality is preferred but not required; a passion for beauty and learning is essential.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move between tasks efficiently, and adhere to hygiene and safety protocols.
