Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Nonprofit VP of Finance for a mission-driven, globally focused nonprofit organization advancing impactful health initiatives. POSITION OVERVIEW:
This interim leadership role is a critical opportunity to step into a high-impact organization and provide immediate financial oversight, stability, and strategic guidance. The Interim Nonprofit VP of Finance will partner closely with executive leadership to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support real-time decision-making. This individual will play a key role in maintaining continuity while the organization conducts a permanent search.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic financial leadership, partnering with the CEO and executive team on forecasting, reporting, and decision-making
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit fund accounting, grant requirements, and regulatory standards
- Lead audit readiness, financial reporting processes, and board-level reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally, including with development teams, to align financial data and revenue tracking
- Stabilize and optimize financial systems, processes, and internal controls during the interim period
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong background in nonprofit finance leadership, including fund accounting and grant compliance
- Demonstrated ability to support executive leadership and communicate effectively with boards
- Experience overseeing audits, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
- Proficiency with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and CRM integrations
- Ability to quickly step in, assess needs, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This interim opportunity offers a pay rate of $80–$86/hour (W2). Benefits are available through Scion Staffing after 30 days of employment and may include medical coverage and sick pay. This role is structured as an interim contract engagement.
