The Coordinator cum Curriculum Developer will lead academic excellence through Project-Based Learning (PBL), inquiry, and experiential pedagogy. This role is responsible for curriculum architecture, academic supervision, teacher mentoring, and ensuring classroom practices align with international standards and 21st-century learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Architecture (PBL Focus)
- Design annual curriculum frameworks, scope & sequence, and learning outcomes.
- Develop PBL units, interdisciplinary themes, and real-world learning modules.
- Create unit planners, lesson plan formats, assessment rubrics, and teacher guides.
- Align curriculum with international practices (IB / Cambridge / progressive CBSE).
Academic Coordination
- Supervise daily academic delivery across grades.
- Conduct classroom observations and academic audits.
- Ensure lesson plans, teaching quality, and student engagement standards.
- Mentor teachers on PBL, differentiation, and inquiry strategies.
Teacher Training & Mentoring
- Conduct regular workshops on PBL methodology, assessments, and classroom strategies.
- Support teachers in lesson planning, activity design, and experiential learning.
- Build a collaborative professional learning community.
Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Design formative and summative assessment systems with rubrics and portfolios.
- Standardize notebooks, worksheets, and evaluation practices.
- Analyze student performance data to refine curriculum.
Student Learning & Skill Development
- Ensure integration of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.
- Promote experiential learning, exhibitions, presentations, and student showcases.
Documentation & Planning
- Prepare academic calendars, planners, and policy documents.
- Maintain records of curriculum plans, audits, and academic reports.
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct orientations and workshops for parents on PBL learning.
- Support PTMs with academic insights and student progress frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate / Graduate in any discipline with B.Ed.
- 5+ years of teaching experience with academic leadership exposure.
- Strong experience in curriculum planning and academic coordination.
Preferred Profile
- Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum design.
- Exposure to IB / Cambridge / progressive international practices.
- Teach For India fellowship or experience preferred.
