Role Description:

The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for accurately screening prescriptions, dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, maintaining proper documentation, managing inventory, and ensuring appropriate medication storage conditions.

The role involves counseling patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, precautions, and adherence, as well as coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals when prescription clarifications or adjustments are required.

The pharmacist will also support daily pharmacy operations, including supervising pharmacy staff, maintaining inventory levels, monitoring expiry dates, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at Rx Care Pharmacy in Coimbatore.

Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist Registration with the appropriate Pharmacy Council.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
• Recent graduates who have completed D.Pharm or B.Pharm and possess (or are in the process of obtaining) valid pharmacist registration are encouraged to apply. ⁠
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription interpretation.
• Ability to provide clear, empathetic, and professional patient counseling.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, prescription processing software, and basic computer applications.
