Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical (Med-Surg)
Location: Hazelton, British Columbia
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient-centered care within a Medical Surgical (Med-Surg) unit. The successful candidate will support patients with acute medical conditions and post-operative recovery while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Contract Details
Assignment Dates: July 15, 2026 – September 3, 2026
Hours: Full-Time, 80 Hours Bi-Weekly
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Statutory Holidays as per facility requirements
Pay Rate: CAD $40–$48/hour
Overtime: 1.5x Regular Rate
Double Time: 2x Regular Rate

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, assessments, medication administration, and treatments within LPN scope of practice.
- Monitor patient conditions, document care, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Support post-operative recovery, wound care, mobility, ADLs, and patient comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans and promote positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and accurate clinical documentation.
Qualifications
✔ Graduate of an accredited LPN program
✔ Current practicing registration with BCCNM
✔ Current BLS Certification
✔ Recent Medical Surgical or Acute Care experience preferred
✔ Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
✔ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
