General Purpose:
This role is essential for maintaining a visible presence at store entrances and exits to deter theft and fraud, ensuring a safe environment for both associates and customers. You will greet customers with a smile, project a friendly demeanor to discourage theft, and enforce our Code 50 package inspection policy. As a proactive member of the team, you will walk the sales floor to identify potential theft indicators and work closely with store leadership to reduce operational losses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Safety: Prioritize safety in every action, working with store leadership to ensure a secure environment.
- Customer Engagement: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and addressing their questions with kindness and professionalism.
- Theft Prevention: Monitor entrances, exits, and the sales floor for suspicious behavior, and keep management informed about theft trends.
- Minimize Operational Loss: Raise awareness among staff about effective practices to reduce losses and assist in training store associates on these initiatives.
- Professional Representation: Uphold the company brand through a professional appearance and behavior.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
- One year of retail supervisory experience or related training preferred.
- Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus.
- Active Security Guard License is preferred.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to stand and move about the store for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and lowering objects over 25 lbs.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $15.50 - $16.00, based on experience, skills, and location. This is a part of a comprehensive compensation package, including various benefits such as insurance programs, employee discounts, and retirement plans.
