Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.

Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking a Sales and Event Planning Manager, World Trade Center, DC (WTCDC) to join our team. This position is responsible for driving revenue through strategic sales efforts while leading end-to-end event planning and execution. This role manages the full client lifecycle - from prospecting and proposal development through contract negotiation, detailed planning, and onsite delivery- ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience. This position operates in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to work with a diverse group of clients and stakeholders.

Essential Functions

Sales & Business Development:

  • Prospect, develop, and manage a strong pipeline of business across key market segments
  • Lead the full sales cycle: inquiry through close, including site tours, client meetings, and follow-up
  • Develop tailored proposals, pricing, and estimates aligned with client needs and revenue goals
  • Negotiate contracts and manage client relationships through execution and post-event follow-up
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and account management within CRM systems
  • Track performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Partner with clients on overall event design, coordination and execution as needed, while serving as primary planning lead for assigned events, ensuring all details are executed to a high standard, including Banquet Event Orders, timelines, and floor plans

Cross-Functional Coordination, Reporting and Administration:

  • Act as liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of all event elements while navigating complex requirements associated with high-profile events
  • Maintain detailed records across CRM and planning systems (e.g., contracts, BEOs, diagrams, client communications) and produce regular reports including sales forecasts, event recaps, and operational summaries, while supporting data analysis, tracking, and continuous process improvement

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of sales and event planning experience in a hospitality or special events environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • Proven success in managing the full sales cycle and executing complex events, with demonstrated experience in proposal writing, contract negotiation, and all other event planning documentation
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, floor plan software, and MS Office Suite, including Outlook
  • Experience working with international clients, embassies, or high-level officals strongly preferred
