Financial Analyst - Entry Level

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will analyze financial data, collaborate with various departments, and ensure accuracy in processing and reporting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and proper coding before they are entered into the system.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to plan purchase orders and ensure invoices are applied to the correct accounts.
• Support the facility team by gathering and analyzing statistics to assist in forecasting material and service needs.
• Accrue invoices as necessary and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Conduct detailed reviews of financial data to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for improvement.
• Follow up with internal staff to address discrepancies and maintain minimal error rates in financial processes.
• Utilize accounting software and reporting tools to generate accurate financial reports and support decision-making.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses to address specific business needs and provide actionable insights.
• Assist with budget processes, including data collection and analysis to support financial planning.
• Maintain thorough documentation of financial transactions and ensure adherence to company policies.
