We are responsible for the City’s capital and operating budgets, consolidated financial statements, procurement of goods and services, and disposal of surplus goods. The Division also operates store facilities, weigh scales, refuelling facilities, courier services, graphics design, and printing for City departments. Hours/Week: 35 Days of Work: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri Closing Date / Apply By: 5/15/2025 Start Date: 5/4/2025 Duties The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager – Budgets & Financial Planning, as the Budget Analyst, you will direct and coordinate the budget preparation, variance reporting, process re-engineering, performance measurement activities, and participate in the strategic business planning of the Department. For more accountabilities, review the job description on Ideal Candidate Qualifications Degree in business administration or commerce majoring in accounting with three years’ relevant experience, preferably in the municipal or broader public sector; or Diploma in business administration in accounting with five years’ relevant experience, preferably in the municipal or broader public sector Three years of previous budget preparation, financial reporting, and resource management experience. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently under time constraints and changing deadlines. Excellent project/time management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
