Role Description This is a full-time, on-site News Reporter role based in Ujjain. The News Reporter is responsible for identifying newsworthy events, conducting interviews, and gathering information from multiple sources, including field reporting, official statements, and community contacts. Daily activities include researching stories, verifying facts, writing clear and accurate news articles, and preparing content for different formats such as digital platforms and broadcast scripts. The role also involves drafting press releases when required, collaborating with editors and producers, and meeting strict deadlines while adhering to ethical journalism standards. The News Reporter is expected to maintain strong local awareness, represent the company professionally in public, and contribute to continuous improvement in news coverage.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Reporting and Journalism skills, including field reporting, interviewing, and source development.
• Candidates should possess News Writing and Writing skills to produce clear, concise, and accurate content across formats.
• Candidates should possess experience with Press Releases and basic media communication practices.
• Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong attention to detail and fact-checking abilities.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively with editorial and production teams.
• Relevant academic background in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field is preferred, along with prior experience in news reporting or media.
• Familiarity with digital news platforms, basic multimedia skills, and local language proficiency for Ujjain and surrounding areas will be beneficial.
