Family Law Clerk
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000
Our client, a highly respected litigation-focused law firm in Toronto, is seeking an experienced Family Law Clerk to join its established Family Law group. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional who is passionate about family law, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being a key contributor to the successful management of complex family law matters. The successful candidate will work closely with lawyers and clients on a broad range of family law issues while playing an integral role in ensuring files progress efficiently from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities
- Support lawyers on a variety of family law matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic contracts, and enforcement proceedings.
- Draft and prepare court documents, including Applications, Answers, Affidavits, Financial Statements (Form 13/13.1), conference briefs, motion materials, and settlement documentation.
- Prepare and maintain Net Family Property calculations and financial disclosure packages.
- Coordinate court filings through the Ontario Courts' electronic filing platforms and maintain compliance with Family Law Rules and court deadlines.
- Manage Caselines materials and assist with hearing and motion preparation.
- Schedule mediations, arbitrations, conferences, discoveries, and court attendances.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, financial experts, court staff, and third-party service providers.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and timely progression of matters.
- Assist with trial preparation, document briefs, and evidence organization.
Qualifications
- Law Clerk diploma, Legal Assistant diploma, or equivalent legal education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a Family Law practice.
- Strong understanding of the Family Law Rules and Ontario court procedures.
- Experience preparing Financial Statements, Net Family Property calculations, and family law litigation materials.
- Proficiency with DivorceMate, Caselines, ACL, One-Key, Microsoft Office Suite, and Ontario court e-filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and document accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, client-focused, and highly dependable.
