About the Role
This position is for an Aircraft Mechanic in the Cabin Workshops team, with a focus on Safety & Bottle Systems. The role is centered on carrying out workshop tasks in line with approved technical information, company standards, and established procedures while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and productivity.
You will be expected to complete assigned work within defined procedures and deadlines, operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong technical capability.
Key Duties
- Carry out assigned maintenance tasks to support reliable service delivery.
- Use the required equipment and tooling for the work area to achieve task deadlines.
- Understand and apply information across routine work activities to keep operations running smoothly.
- Work independently on assigned tasks under normal conditions, with minimal supervision.
- Maintain productivity levels that meet set standards.
- Undertake additional department-related responsibilities as directed by the department head.
- Follow the organization’s health and safety policy at all times.
- Complete aircraft component rectification work within the required timeframe and in line with QCAA/EASA PART-145 standards and quality expectations.
- Meet task deadlines while working within established procedures.
- Lead by example and help encourage team performance.
- Ensure health and safety concerns are communicated to all relevant team members.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold either a High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification, Diploma, or an equivalent credential with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
For the Safety stream, the role requires 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with slides/rafts, life vests, and survival kits, along with slide/raft assembly and life vest training.
For the Bottle stream, the role requires 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with slide/raft reservoir assemblies and fire extinguishers, along with reservoir assembly training and Hazmat training.
