This is a <strong>mobile, multi‑site role across Wales</strong>, ideal for nurses who enjoy variety, autonomy, and working across different community locations.</p> <p>The role is suitable for <strong>experienced Band 6/7 nurses</strong>, or <strong>Band 5 nurses with leadership or supervisory experience</strong> who are ready to step up into a clinical leadership position. Nurses who are <strong>flexible to travel across multiple sites</strong> will be particularly well suited.</p> <p>This is a <strong>nurse‑led, patient‑facing leadership role</strong>, where you’ll provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight while remaining hands‑on within community clinic environments.</p> <p>✅ <em>Band 5 nurses with acting‑up, mentoring, or shift‑lead experience are strongly encouraged to apply</em><br>✅ <em>Induction, shadowing and ongoing support provided</em></p> <hr> <h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>You will lead and support Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomists delivering health screening clinics as part of <em>Our Future Health</em>. Clinics operate across <strong>South, West, Mid and North Wales</strong>, and you may work across a variety of locations depending on service need and availability.</p> <p>You’ll play a key role in ensuring <strong>safe, high‑quality care</strong>, a positive participant experience, and consistent standards across sites. Flexibility to travel between locations will allow you to maximise available shifts and variety in your work.</p> <p>As part of your onboarding, you will complete a <strong>four‑day structured induction at alternative operating sites</strong>, giving you confidence in the service model, patient flow, and leadership expectations before taking full responsibility.</p> <hr> <h2><strong>Locations covered</strong></h2> <p>You may be required to work across sites in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li><strong>South East Wales</strong> (including Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Caerphilly, Penarth, Barry, Chepstow, Abergavenny)</li> <li><strong>South Wales Valleys</strong> (including Talbot Green, Tonypandy)</li> <li><strong>Swansea Bay &amp; Carmarthenshire</strong> (including Port Talbot, Neath, Llanelli, Carmarthen)</li> <li><strong>West Wales</strong> (including Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke)</li> <li><strong>Mid Wales</strong> (including Aberystwyth, Newtown)</li> <li><strong>North West Wales</strong> (including Bangor, Caernarfon, Porthmadog, Holyhead)</li> <li><strong>North East Wales</strong> (including Rhyl, Conwy, Denbigh, Mold / Connahs Quay)</li> </ul> <p><em>The more flexible you are to travel, the greater the availability of work.</em></p> <hr> <h2><strong>Shift patterns</strong></h2> <p>Flexible working available — <strong>1–2 shifts per week up to full time</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Monday to Friday: 7.45am – 6.15pm</li> <li>Saturday: 8.45am – 5.15pm</li> <li>Sunday: 10.45am – 3.45pm</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Provide <strong>clinical leadership and supervision</strong> to HCAs and Phlebotomists</li> <li>Maintain oversight of <strong>clinical governance, safety, and quality standards</strong></li> <li>Support staff during clinics, including cover during breaks</li> <li>Coordinate staffing, attendance, and daily clinic flow</li> <li>Act as the <strong>onsite escalation point</strong> for clinical or operational concerns</li> <li>Ensure a consistent, safe, and positive patient experience</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Registered Nurse</li> <li>Phlebotomy Certificate</li> <li>Minimum <strong>1 year’s recent experience</strong> taking bloods</li> <li>Leadership or supervisory experience <em>(formal or informal)</em></li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel across multiple sites in Wales</li> <li>Right to Work in the UK</li> <li>Previous Service Delivery Lead / management experience <strong>desirable but not required</strong></li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>What you’ll receive</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Ongoing <strong>full‑time or part‑time shifts</strong></li> <li><strong>Weekly pay</strong></li> <li><strong>Accrued holiday pay</strong></li> <li>Dedicated Pulse consultant support</li> <li>A leadership role <strong>outside of ward pressures</strong>, with real career‑development value</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Why work with Pulse?</strong></h2> <p>From the moment you register, our focus is on you.
