Band 7 MRI Radiographer Locum - Forth Valley
Location: Forth Valley
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Hours: Monday – Sunday shifts between 08:00 – 20:00
Pay Rate: £32.30 P/H

The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 MRI Radiographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our dynamic team in Forth Valley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Band 7 MRI Radiographer is responsible for conducting a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI scans, while ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. They prepare patients for these procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining informed consent. The role involves operating and maintaining radiographic equipment to ensure it functions correctly and safely, as well as assisting in the initial interpretation of images and reporting significant findings to the supervising radiologist or clinician. Radiographers must adhere to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations to maintain high standards of practice, while also maintaining accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures, including consent forms and reports. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care. Additionally, they provide guidance and support to junior radiographers, students, and support staff, fostering a positive learning environment, and engaging in ongoing professional development and training to stay up to date with advancements in radiography and imaging techniques.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Radiography or a related field, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical setting, with experience in MRI in either NHS or private settings in the UK.
  • Proficiency in using imaging equipment and a solid understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results.
