About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to help create intuitive, high-quality digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. In this role, you’ll design customer-facing journeys that make complex services simple, accessible, and easy to use.

You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and service designers to transform insights and business needs into thoughtful digital solutions. This role offers the opportunity to own design work from early concept through final execution while contributing to scalable, user-centered experiences.

This position is remote, with occasional quarterly on-site meetings for team collaboration.

What You’ll Do

• Design engaging, customer-focused web and mobile experiences, including self-service features, account management, and transactional flows.
• Translate research insights, service design artifacts, and business requirements into clear interaction models, information architecture, and polished UI designs.
• Lead design work from concept through execution, ensuring solutions support end-to-end customer journeys.
• Apply strong UX thinking and visual design principles to create intuitive, accessible, and high-quality interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, researchers, and service designers to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as discovery sessions, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and design reviews.
• Design within established design systems while identifying opportunities to enhance components and standards.
• Provide thoughtful feedback during design critiques to improve usability, accessibility, and overall experience quality.
• Support and mentor junior designers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing best practices across the design team.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience designing customer-facing digital products.
• Strong expertise in UX design, interaction design, information architecture, and UI design.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• A portfolio demonstrating hands-on design work and examples of solving complex experience challenges.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders.
• Experience translating journey maps and service design inputs into effective interface designs.
• Ability to manage multiple design initiatives across different product areas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
• Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and design standards.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and contributing to team growth.
• Experience in utility, energy, or other regulated industries is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $70–$80 per hour

Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, location, market conditions, and the scope of the role.
