Job Description
Position Summary
At Proof Strategies, we believe trust is earned, and we work every day to help our clients do just that.
As a right-sized agency, we partner with mission-driven government agencies, cause-based nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and growing companies with an expanding U.S. footprint. As the Washington, D.C. office of one of North America's leading independent communications consultancies, we combine the capabilities of a larger firm with the responsiveness, flexibility, and direct access of a boutique team.
As our Washington office continues to grow, we're always interested in connecting with talented digital marketing, audience engagement, and communications technology professionals across a range of experience levels, from Account Executives to Senior Directors. We welcome candidates with approximately 2-10+ years of experience depending on background, expertise, and specialization. Unlike larger agencies, our team members work directly with senior leaders and clients, take on meaningful responsibility early, and have opportunities to help shape both client work and the future growth of our office.
Our team supports a wide range of digital marketing and audience engagement initiatives, including website strategy and development, email marketing, social media campaigns, audience growth, paid media, CRM management, analytics and reporting, AI-powered communications workflows, and helping organizations improve how they connect with stakeholders in an increasingly digital world.
We are looking for people who are collaborative, flexible, and motivated by growth. The ideal candidates are comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating directly with clients, adapting quickly, and operating thoughtfully in politically sensitive or fast-moving environments. Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as technical communications skills.
Good humor is a must! Only candidates residing in the greater Washington, D.C. area will be considered.
What You Might Work On
- Website strategy, content management, and website development projects in collaboration with external developers and creative partners
- Managing and updating client and agency websites, including content creation, optimization, and user experience improvements
- Email marketing strategy and execution, including newsletters, audience segmentation, automation, and performance reporting
- Social media strategy, content development, publishing, and audience engagement across LinkedIn and other digital platforms
- Paid media campaigns, including audience targeting, campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and performance analysis
- CRM management and audience database administration, including Salesforce implementation, maintenance, reporting, and workflow optimization
- SEO and SEM strategy, keyword research, website optimization, and search visibility improvements
- Analytics and reporting across websites, social media, email marketing, paid media, and audience engagement initiatives
- Supporting agency marketing and business development efforts through website updates, lead generation activities, email campaigns, and digital content
- Researching, testing, and implementing AI-powered tools and workflows that improve efficiency, audience insights, content development, reporting, and campaign performance
- Helping train and support internal teams on emerging technologies, digital best practices, and AI-enabled workflows
- Supporting integrated communications campaigns alongside public relations, public affairs, marketing, and creative teams
- Supporting new business efforts, including research, proposal development, and pitch materials
- Helping contribute to a growing office environment where people are encouraged to take initiative and grow beyond rigid role definitions
What You Bring
- Approximately 2-10+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital communications, audience engagement, marketing technology, CRM management, website management, social media, paid media, or related fields

- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Experience working with nonprofit, corporate, government, advocacy, healthcare, energy, technology, or policy-focused organizations is a plus

- Interest in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that improve organizational efficiency, audience engagement, and communications performance
- Strong analytical, writing, presentation, project management, and interpersonal communication skills
Our Work Culture
As a growing office, we value people who are willing to raise their hand, take ownership, contribute ideas, and step outside traditional job descriptions when opportunities arise. Some of the best professional growth happens when you're trusted with challenges you haven't tackled before.
We work hard, support one another, and genuinely enjoy what we do. While our work often involves serious issues and high-profile organizations, we think a sense of humor goes a long way.
Our team works in a hybrid environment, with two days per week in our office near Gallery Place-Chinatown and three days remotely.
