Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PMP) to lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP). This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a complex ERP implementation while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

The successful candidate will partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, Microsoft Business Central implementation partners, and internal IT teams to drive a successful ERP transformation. This individual will oversee project governance, risk management, change management, resource coordination, and user adoption throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Project Leadership

• Lead the full lifecycle implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource plans.
• Establish project governance, communication plans, and reporting structures.
• Manage project scope while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Track project progress and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

ERP Implementation

• Manage all phases of the Business Central implementation including:
• Discovery
• Business Process Analysis
• Solution Design
• Configuration
• Data Migration
• System Integration
• Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Training
• Go-Live
• Hypercare Support
• Coordinate activities between internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
• Ensure business requirements are translated into functional and technical specifications.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact between executive leadership, business units, IT, and implementation vendors.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive project updates.
• Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and IT teams.

Budget & Vendor Management

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Oversee third-party consultants, Microsoft partners, and system integrators.
• Ensure vendors meet project deliverables and contractual obligations.
• Review project invoices, statements of work, and change requests.

Risk & Change Management

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage project change requests and scope adjustments.
• Lead organizational change management initiatives to support user adoption.
• Develop communication and training plans.

Data Migration & Integration

• Coordinate ERP data migration activities.
• Ensure data integrity and validation throughout migration.
• Manage integrations with third-party systems including CRM, payroll, banking, reporting, EDI, and warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate testing of interfaces and system integrations.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop comprehensive testing strategies.
• Coordinate system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure issues are tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
• Validate system readiness prior to production deployment.

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare executive dashboards and project status reports.
• Monitor project KPIs and milestones.
• Present project updates to senior leadership.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Business Central are considered an asset.
• Change Management certification (Prosci or equivalent) is an asset.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise technology projects.
• 3+ years leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP implementations.
• Experience managing full ERP implementation lifecycles from planning through post-go-live support.
• Experience working with Microsoft implementation partners and system integrators.
• Strong understanding of ERP business processes across:
• Finance

• Experience managing cross-functional project teams.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
