On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a SQL Server Database Developer for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
SQL Server Database Developer - Job Description:
The project focuses on enhancing and expanding a Master Data Management (MDM) system using MS SQL Server programming. The existing MDM stores and manages enterprise metadata, and the next phase involves integrating an additional system and introducing new workflow functionality to support a multi-step metadata approval process.
SQL Server Database Developer - Responsibilities:
- Conduct data, application, and workflow analysis
- Perform data modeling to define the appropriate structures for new requirements
- Design database objects (tables, views, functions, stored procedures)
- Develop and optimize T-SQL code
- Ensure high-performance execution of queries and procedures
- Participate in meetings, requirement discussions, development, and debugging
- Work primarily in Microsoft SQL Server environments
SQL Server Database Developer - Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ years SQL Server Database development and advanced T-SQL programming
- 7+ years experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Integration, Data Interfaces, or Database Design
- 7+ years hands-on Database/SQL performance tuning
- 5+ years experience working with data models in ERP, CRM, or other large OLTP applications
SQL Server Database Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with ETL or BI tools such as SSIS, SSAS, Informatica, or DataStage
- Experience with BI visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE
- Solid understanding of Web Services, .NET, XML, SOAP, REST, APIs, or Java
- Prior experience in financial services or banking
SQL Server Database Developer – Assignment Length:
The contract is to October 31, 2026, with a possibility of extension.

SQL Server Database Developer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week onsite, subject to change based on business needs.
