On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric for a 6 month contract role. This position is a remote position with no onsite requirements.

Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric - Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Power BI Developer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade analytics and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data modeling, visualization, and modern data architecture within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric - Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Build and manage semantic models, datasets, and dataflows.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Real-Time Analytics.
• Develop and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Integrate data from multiple sources including Azure SQL, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage workspace deployments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize performance of reports, datasets, and queries.
• Support CI/CD deployment pipelines and version control best practices.

Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric - Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience developing with Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines).
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling (star schema).
• Experience working with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data transformation.
• Experience implementing security models in Power BI.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Databricks or Spark within Fabric.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Microsoft certifications (PL-300, Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Experience working in enterprise or multi-tenant environments.

This is a 6 month contract position.
