Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App - Job Description:

The Interaction/Product Designer will work on enhancing the mobile banking app experience, focusing on delivering a top-tier digital experience for the core mobile banking platform. This role involves translating emerging mobile and service design trends into innovative explorations for future visions.

Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App - Responsibilities:

  • Deliver best-in-class, ever-improving digital experience to core mobile banking experience
  • Translate emerging mobile and service design trends into innovative explorations for future visions
  • Understand user interface patterns and behaviors to drive user comprehension and improve task performance
  • Facilitate design critique and provide expert advice to cross-functional teams
  • Create complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas
  • Facilitate usability testing and participate in research activities

Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App - Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in Figma, Mural, and Keynote
  • Experience with Jira for Project Management and Slack for Messaging
  • Ability to articulate client and business problems and make design decisions based on them
  • Understanding of native patterns and trends in iOS and Android
  • Experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms
  • Expertise in design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com
  • BA/BS degree in Design or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience

Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • MA/MS degree or certification in Design or related field
  • Strong understanding of different research methods and their application
  • Appreciation for the potential of 'design thinking'
  • Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment

Interaction/Product Designer – Mobile Banking App – Assignment Length:

This is a 12-month contract position.
