Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day plant operations, production planning, manpower utilization, quality, maintenance coordination, safety, and cost control to achieve production and delivery targets. The role focuses on smooth shop-floor execution, productivity improvement, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Production & Shop Floor Operations
- Manage daily production activities as per plan.
- Achieve shift-wise and monthly production targets.
- Monitor output, rejection, and productivity.
- Ensure optimum use of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
2) Manpower & Shift Management
- Manage supervisors, line leaders, operators, and contract labour.
- Prepare shift deployment and manpower planning.
- Control absenteeism and overtime.
- Maintain discipline and worker coordination.
- Conduct training for operators and supervisors.
3) Quality Management
- Ensure product quality as per customer standards.
- Reduce rejection and rework.
- Support CAPA and internal quality audits.
- Coordinate with QA team for customer complaints.
4) Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure machine availability for production.
- Monitor utilities and equipment performance.
- Follow spare planning with maintenance team.
5) Safety & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure PPE and machine safety compliance.
- Follow Factory Act, labour laws, CLRA, PF, ESI, and statutory registers.
- Conduct safety meetings and mock drills.
- Ensure zero accident culture.
6) Cost & Productivity Improvement
- Reduce wastage, scrap, power loss, and overtime.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and lean practices.
- Improve line balancing and cycle time.
- Focus on cost-saving projects.
7) Reporting & Coordination
- Submit daily MIS and production reports.
- Coordinate with PPC, Stores, Quality, HR, and Dispatch.
- Attend management review meetings.
- Ensure on-time dispatch support.

Qualification
- BE / Diploma Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related field.
- MBA Operations is an added advantage.
Experience
- 6–8+ years in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years in plant / factory management role.

Salary Range
As per company standards and experience.
Pay: ₹19,764.23 - ₹45,482.43 per month
