Gym Closing Staff

Role and Responsibilities:

The Gym Closing Staff is responsible for securing the club each evening while maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for both members and staff.

• Carry out all closing procedures following Planet Fitness policies and guidelines.
• Ensure all members have exited the facility at closing time.
• Lock doors, windows, and activate alarm systems.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, locker rooms, and communal areas.
• Assist members with inquiries and provide high-quality service.
• Balance cash and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Restock supplies and prepare the club for the next day.
• Report and address maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support front desk operations, including membership sign-ups and billing questions, as needed.
• Follow all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for staff and members.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Availability to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
