Fitness Center Closing Attendant

Role and Responsibilities:

The Fitness Center Closing Attendant is responsible for ensuring the club is properly secured each night while maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting space for members and staff.

• Perform all closing tasks according to Planet Fitness policies and procedures.
• Confirm all members have exited the facility by closing time.
• Secure doors, windows, and alarm systems before leaving.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, locker rooms, and shared areas.
• Assist members with questions or concerns and provide excellent service.
• Balance daily cash and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Restock supplies and prepare the club for the next day’s operations.
• Report and resolve any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support front desk duties, including membership sign-ups and billing inquiries, as needed.
• Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and members.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
