Telecommunications Network Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Network Engineer to join their dedicated team in Surrey, British Columbia, CA . This role is integral to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our robust telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring reliable and high-performance network services. You will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and transmission systems. Key responsibilities include developing network solutions to meet business requirements, performing capacity planning, conducting network performance analysis and optimization, and implementing security measures to protect network assets. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and services, provide technical support to resolve network issues, and maintain comprehensive network documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), experience with various telecommunications technologies (e.g., Fiber optics, MPLS, LTE), and proficiency with network management tools. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering, is required.
