Our client, a leading player in the global supply chain and warehousing sector, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator for their operations in Nagpur, Maharashtra . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods from origin to final destination, managing inventory, and optimizing logistics operations. You will be responsible for coordinating with various internal departments, external vendors, and transportation providers to meet delivery timelines and cost targets.
The Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator will oversee daily logistics activities, including shipment planning, tracking, and documentation. You will analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing the complexities of modern logistics. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and timeliness of our client's supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and managing all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics. Planning and scheduling shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Tracking shipments in real-time and proactively addressing any delays or issues. Managing relationships with freight carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners. Optimizing transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Maintaining accurate inventory records and overseeing warehouse operations. Ensuring compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and documentation requirements. Analyzing supply chain performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. Implementing process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability. Resolving logistical challenges and customer inquiries related to shipments. Collaborating with procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role is required. Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Experience in the logistics & warehousing industry is a significant advantage.
