Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of their production facility in **Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN**. This critical leadership position requires extensive experience in manufacturing operations, a strong understanding of lean principles, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, optimizing plant performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards. Manage production schedules and resources to meet demand forecasts and customer requirements. Lead and develop the plant's management team and hourly workforce. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma). Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Manage the plant budget, control operational expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all employees are trained and adhere to safety protocols. Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and R&D departments to optimize product development and manufacturing processes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure consistent product quality and implement quality control measures. Drive initiatives for waste reduction and energy efficiency. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors. Stay current with manufacturing technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a plant management role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations and achieving production targets. Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management. Excellent leadership, team-building, and people management skills. Expertise in health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing. Strong financial acumen and experience managing plant budgets. Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
