This unique role combines cutting-edge agricultural science with practical application in a metropolitan setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, horticulture, or a related agricultural science field, coupled with hands-on experience in crop cultivation, pest management, and environmental monitoring. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining hydroponic and aeroponic systems, monitoring plant health and growth, implementing integrated pest management strategies, collecting and analyzing data on crop yields and environmental conditions, operating and maintaining agricultural equipment, assisting in research and development trials for new crops and cultivation techniques, and ensuring adherence to strict food safety and quality standards. You will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to optimize growing conditions and improve operational efficiency within our vertical farming facilities. We require candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a closely related discipline, and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in controlled environment agriculture (CEA). Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in data logging and analysis software are essential. Familiarity with various sensor technologies and automated systems used in modern agriculture is a significant advantage.
