Community Engagement Manager (Non-profit)

Our client, a reputable charitable organization, is seeking an energetic and resourceful Community Engagement Manager to build and nurture relationships within the local community. This role is critical for increasing awareness of our mission, recruiting volunteers, and mobilizing support for our various programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative community outreach strategies, organizing and leading events, workshops, and awareness campaigns. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for social impact and community development. You will serve as a primary point of contact for community partners, local businesses, educational institutions, and individual donors. Building and maintaining a strong network of supporters is a key objective. Your responsibilities will include managing volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement, ensuring a positive and impactful volunteer experience. You will also play a significant role in fundraising initiatives through community engagement efforts. The ability to create compelling marketing materials, manage social media for outreach, and track engagement metrics is essential. You will work closely with program staff to understand their needs and communicate how community support can make a difference. Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies to increase program awareness and participation. Organize and manage community events, workshops, and outreach activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, businesses, and schools. Lead volunteer recruitment, training, and ongoing engagement efforts. Develop and implement strategies for donor cultivation and engagement within the community. Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels to promote the organization's work. Represent the organization at community fairs, meetings, and public forums. Track and report on key engagement metrics, such as event attendance, volunteer hours, and partnership growth. Collaborate with program teams to identify community needs and develop targeted outreach initiatives. Serve as a passionate advocate for the organization's mission and impact within the community. Manage the community outreach budget effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience in community outreach, volunteer management, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in event planning and management. Proficiency in social media management and content creation. Strong organizational and project management skills. Passion for social causes and community development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with CRM systems or databases for tracking engagement is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
