Key Responsibilities:

Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex property and casualty insurance claims, including auto, home, and commercial policies. Determine coverage liability and assess damages based on policy terms and conditions. Conduct thorough investigations, which may involve site visits, interviews with claimants and witnesses, and review of police reports or other documentation. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all activities, communications, and decisions. Effectively manage a caseload of claims, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely resolution. Negotiate settlements with claimants and legal representatives in a fair and professional manner. Ensure compliance with all state and federal insurance regulations and company policies. Provide clear and timely communication to claimants, agents, and internal stakeholders regarding claim status. Identify potential subrogation or salvage opportunities. Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior adjusters. Analyze claim data to identify trends and provide insights for risk management and fraud prevention. Attend court hearings or depositions as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a claims adjuster, with a significant focus on property and casualty lines. Hold relevant insurance adjuster licenses as required by regulatory bodies. In-depth knowledge of insurance contracts, claims investigation techniques, and relevant legal principles. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
