Job Description

Our client, a prominent insurance provider, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to join their established team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN . This position requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processing, and investigative techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex insurance claims from inception to resolution, ensuring fair and efficient settlements while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies. This is an on-site role, requiring your presence in the office and at claim locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities: Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate the settlement of complex insurance claims, including property, casualty, and liability claims. Conduct thorough on-site inspections and assessments of damages to determine the extent of coverage and liability. Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties involved to gather relevant information and evidence. Review policy documents, police reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation to assess claim validity and coverage. Calculate and determine the appropriate claim settlement amounts based on policy terms, damage assessments, and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with policyholders, legal representatives, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process, providing clear explanations and updates. Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their legal representatives in a fair and equitable manner. Prepare detailed claim reports, documenting all findings, decisions, and settlement actions. Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance laws, regulations, and company procedures. Identify potential cases of fraud and escalate them to the investigation unit as appropriate. Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files in the company's claims management system. Mentor and provide guidance to junior claims adjusters and support staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in claims adjusting, with a strong focus on complex claims. Proven expertise in investigating, evaluating, and negotiating insurance claims. In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage provisions, and claims handling best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage a caseload effectively, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications. Valid motor vehicle license and willingness to travel to claim sites as needed. Relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are highly desirable. This role is crucial to maintaining our client's reputation for excellent service and fair claim resolution.
