Senior Claims Adjuster

Our client, a well-established and reputable insurance provider, is looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to manage complex claims within their Dehradun, Uttarakhand office. This role is critical in ensuring fair and efficient claims processing, maintaining high standards of customer service, and protecting the company's interests. As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating insurance claims, evaluating policy coverage, and determining liability. You will conduct thorough investigations, which may involve interviewing claimants and witnesses, inspecting damaged property, and reviewing documentation. Based on your findings, you will negotiate settlements with claimants and legal representatives, ensuring settlements are fair and in accordance with policy terms and legal requirements. You will also be tasked with identifying potential fraud and escalating such cases for further investigation. Maintaining accurate and detailed claim records, preparing reports, and collaborating with underwriters, legal counsel, and other internal departments will be integral to your role. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of insurance principles, claims handling procedures, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills are paramount. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals during a sensitive time. Experience in a specific line of insurance (e.g., auto, property, liability) is highly desirable. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing a caseload efficiently. A bachelor's degree and relevant professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are preferred.
