Principal AI Research Scientist

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced research in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning. Design, develop, and implement novel AI algorithms and models. Lead research projects, defining research questions, methodologies, and execution plans. Publish research findings in top-tier scientific conferences and journals. Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research prototypes into production-ready systems. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and related fields, identifying opportunities for innovation. Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of scientific excellence. Evaluate and benchmark the performance of AI models and algorithms. Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patents and disclosures. Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Identify and explore new research directions and potential application areas for AI technologies. Contribute to the strategic vision for AI research within the organization. Engage with the broader AI research community.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related quantitative field. A minimum of 8 years of post-PhD research experience in AI or Machine Learning. Exceptional publication record in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL) and journals. Deep theoretical understanding and practical expertise in core AI/ML concepts and algorithms. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience in leading complex research projects from inception to completion. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a highly technical team environment. Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing is a plus. Proven ability to innovate and develop novel solutions to challenging problems.
