Our client, a renowned children's hospital, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their dedicated team in **Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, IN**. This leadership role involves providing exceptional direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents, as well as overseeing and mentoring a team of pediatric nurses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in pediatrics, excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills, and a passion for advancing pediatric healthcare. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive primary and/or specialty pediatric healthcare services, including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Conduct thorough physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients. Prescribe medications, order therapies, and make appropriate referrals to specialists as needed. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care measures. Serve as a mentor and clinical preceptor for pediatric nurse practitioner students and new graduates. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care. Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols within the pediatric department. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research activities. Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Advocate for the health and well-being of children within the community and healthcare system. Stay current with advancements in pediatric nursing and medical practice through continuing education. Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from an accredited program. Current and valid RN license and PNP certification in the state of practice. Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable. Proficiency in diagnosing and managing common pediatric illnesses and conditions. Excellent assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
