A prominent industrial facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN is looking for a skilled Industrial HVAC Technician to maintain and repair their complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is vital for ensuring optimal operating conditions and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for all personnel and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and resolving issues with large-scale industrial HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and cooling towers. Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC equipment failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC systems and components as needed. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate repairs and installations. Monitor system performance using specialized tools and software, making adjustments to optimize efficiency and comfort. Adhere strictly to safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and handling of refrigerants. Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and system malfunctions. Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering staff to coordinate repairs and minimize operational downtime. Participate in continuous training to stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and best practices. Required Qualifications: Vocational training or certification in HVAC technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on industrial environments. Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial HVAC systems. Proficiency with testing instruments, hand tools, and power tools used in HVAC work. Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles. Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and control systems is a significant advantage. Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance regarding refrigerants. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation.
