Farm Manager - Sustainable Agriculture

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive farm management plans, including crop selection, planting schedules, and irrigation strategies. Oversee day-to-day farm operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to best practices. Manage and supervise farm labor, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Implement and monitor sustainable agricultural practices, including organic farming methods, integrated pest management, and soil health programs. Monitor crop health, identify diseases or pests, and implement appropriate control measures. Manage irrigation systems and water resources efficiently. Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm machinery and equipment. Track farm expenses, manage budgets, and ensure profitability. Maintain detailed records of crop yields, inputs, and operational activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and safety standards. Explore and implement innovative agricultural technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management or agricultural operations. Proven experience with sustainable or organic farming practices. Strong knowledge of crop science, soil management, pest and disease control, and irrigation techniques. Experience in managing farm labor and resources effectively. Proficiency in using agricultural machinery and technology. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
