Job Description

Our client, a pioneering force in agricultural technology and sustainable farming practices, is seeking an experienced Agronomist to join their dedicated team. This role is crucial for driving advancements in crop science and developing practical, eco-friendly solutions for modern agriculture. You will be instrumental in advising farmers on best practices, implementing cutting-edge research findings, and promoting the efficient and sustainable use of resources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of soil science, plant physiology, and integrated pest management.

Responsibilities: Conduct field trials and research to evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, and soil amendments. Provide expert agronomic advice and technical support to farmers and agricultural cooperatives. Develop and implement customized crop management plans to optimize yield, quality, and sustainability. Monitor crop health, identify potential diseases or pest outbreaks, and recommend appropriate control measures. Educate growers on the latest agricultural technologies, sustainable practices, and regulatory requirements. Collect and analyze soil, water, and plant tissue samples to assess nutrient status and recommend fertilization programs. Stay abreast of scientific advancements, industry trends, and emerging challenges in agriculture. Contribute to the development of educational materials, workshops, and technical publications. Collaborate with research scientists, extension agents, and other agricultural professionals. Document research findings and field observations meticulously. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in agronomic research, crop consulting, or extension services. Proficiency in soil testing interpretation and nutrient management strategies. In-depth knowledge of plant pathology, entomology, and weed science. Experience with precision agriculture technologies and data analysis. Strong understanding of sustainable and organic farming principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the region.
