Delivery Driver - Local Routes

Our client is looking for a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to manage local delivery routes. This role is focused on ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods within the city and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience operating light commercial vehicles. This position requires excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities: Operating company vehicles to deliver goods to customers on scheduled routes. Loading and unloading packages safely and efficiently. Ensuring the accuracy of deliveries and obtaining necessary signatures or proof of delivery. Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status. Planning the most efficient delivery routes to meet time commitments. Handling customer inquiries or issues politely and professionally. Maintaining accurate delivery logs and records. Representing the company professionally to customers and the public.

Candidates must be physically fit, able to lift moderate weights, and possess good navigational skills. A positive attitude and a customer-focused approach are essential. Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role is preferred. This is a hands-on position requiring diligence and reliability. The role is based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN , and involves daily routes originating from and returning to this location.
