Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a globally recognized leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Markham, Ontario, CA . This role is pivotal in driving innovation and efficiency across our production lines, focusing on the implementation and optimization of cutting-edge manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation, robotics, and lean manufacturing principles, with a proven track record of improving production output, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating new manufacturing systems, equipment, and technologies. This includes conducting feasibility studies, selecting appropriate technologies, and overseeing the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be tasked with troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues and implementing robust solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and operations, will be a significant aspect of this role. You will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives, driving the adoption of Industry 4.0 concepts such as IoT, AI, and data analytics within the manufacturing environment. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing engineering role, is required. Experience with specific manufacturing processes relevant to our industry (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, assembly automation) is highly desirable. The ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers is also a plus.
