Role Overview
Pinkvilla is looking for a highly creative and technically strong Senior Video Editor – Motion Graphics to lead the post-production quality of our video content. The ideal candidate will possess advanced editing skills, strong expertise in motion design, and the ability to transform concepts into visually compelling stories. This role requires someone who can elevate content through dynamic graphics, animations, visual effects, and innovative storytelling techniques while mentoring junior editors and driving creative excellence across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Lead the editing of long-form and short-form content across YouTube, social media, branded content, podcasts, celebrity interviews, event coverage, and original IPs.
- Craft compelling narratives through strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, and visual execution.
- Ensure all video content meets Pinkvilla's creative, editorial, and technical standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
Motion Graphics & Animation
- Design and execute high-quality motion graphics, animated explainers, title sequences, lower thirds, transitions, infographics, and visual packages.
- Develop visually engaging graphics that enhance audience retention and storytelling.
- Create animation templates and graphic packages for recurring shows, podcasts, and IPs.
- Conceptualize and execute platform-specific motion design solutions for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and OTT content.
- Incorporate visual effects, compositing, kinetic typography, and animation techniques to improve content performance.
Creative Leadership
- Collaborate with producers, creative leads, designers, and content teams to develop innovative visual concepts.
- Guide and mentor junior video editors on editing techniques, motion graphics, workflow efficiency, and quality standards.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for improving content packaging and audience engagement.
- Drive creative consistency across all video properties and branded content initiatives.
Branded Content & Revenue Projects
- Work closely with Brand Solutions and Sales teams to execute branded content campaigns and sponsor integrations.
- Create premium visual treatments and graphics for commercial projects while ensuring brand guideline compliance.
- Support revenue-generating content initiatives through innovative post-production solutions.
Workflow & Process Management
- Establish efficient editing and motion graphics workflows.
- Manage project assets, templates, archives, and creative resources.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, AI-assisted editing tools, and evolving social media formats.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in video editing and motion graphics within digital media, entertainment, broadcast, production houses, or content platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Demonstrated expertise in motion graphics, animation, compositing, visual effects, and kinetic typography.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, editing rhythm, color correction, sound design, and visual communication.
- Experience creating content optimized for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and other social platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment.
