An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restaurant Events Manager to join our team. With the Summer season around the corner, we are hiring an Event Manager for our locations! If you're passionate about Hospitality and Event Planning, we are interested in meeting you!
Our Events Managers work out of all 3 locations- split each week. Therefore commuting between locations will be necessary.
About The Role
Job Summary: The Event Manager is responsible for overseeing, driving and developing the
events and catering sales strategy.
This includes managing sales, developing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and ensuring that event sales goals are met.
The role requires a strategic mindset, leadership, customer service, and sales acumen to maximize revenue, enhance the brand's reputation, and maintain long-term
client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for events and
catering. Up-sell premium services, enhance catering offerings, and optimize event
packages to increase the average revenue per event.
o Identify market trends and competitive advantages to refine the sales approach.
o Set clear performance goals for the event team. Establish clear revenue growth targets for
each quarter and year, identifying key opportunities for expansion in both existing and
new markets.
o Establish pricing strategies with the culinary team to drive revenue while also optimizing
costs.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and
other clients. Meet hotel concierges in the city and built relationships.
o Develop relationships with office buildings for office catering.
o Meet with potential clients to understand their event needs, provide personalized
recommendations, and ensure exceptional service.
o Oversee the proposal process, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client inquiries.
o Negotiate contracts and terms to close business deals effectively and profitably.
o Attend events, greet hosts and be of support to the team.
3. Marketing and Promotion:
o Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional materials and
campaigns that attract new clients and drive awareness of the venues offerings.
o Represent the organization at industry events, and networking functions to generate leads
and business opportunities.
o In collaboration with the marketing department, use social media, digital marketing, and
other platforms to promote event sales services and generate leads.
4. Budget and Financial Management:
o Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to executive management, highlighting
performance against targets.
o Analyze pricing strategies and profitability, adjusting plans as necessary to maximize
revenue.
5. Collaboration and Coordination:
o Work closely with event and catering operational staff to ensure smooth execution of
events and client satisfaction.
o Provide support and guidance to the events coordination team to ensure all logistics are
handled effectively.
6. Customer Experience and Satisfaction:
o Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing any concerns or
challenges.
o Through client feedback continuously improve service offerings.
o Oversee post-event follow-up to assess client satisfaction and identify opportunities for
repeat business.
7. Reporting and Analytics:
o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to event sales performance, including
conversion rates, client retention, and revenue generation.
o Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
This position requires a flexible schedule, including a mix of both Day shifts and Evening shifts, Weekdays and the ability to work Holidays and Weekends.
Please note that the salary posted is an average/estimate and we will offer a salary based on applicant's experience level at time of interview, however the base salary listed does NOT include the tip portion of the pay structure.
