Senior QA Automation Engineer (Core Java, Selenium, Cucumber & Banking domain exp is must) for our client in Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Manual and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Core Java, Selenium automation frameworks, and API testing, along with hands-on experience in the Payment domain. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation scripts while ensuring high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium with Java.
• Perform manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or TestNG.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the SDLC and STLC.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure application quality.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Strong Core Java / Java programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience in Cucumber (BDD framework).
• Strong understanding of Automation Framework concepts.
• Experience in API Testing (Postman / Rest Assured / similar tools).
• Good knowledge of Test Automation frameworks.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Domain Experience

• Mandatory experience in the Payment domain.

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
• Exposure to performance testing or security testing is a plus.
