Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Doctor specifically tailored for Suvi Bird Park (avian + small animal environment). Suvi Bird Park is an interactive aviary housing multiple exotic and domestic bird species such as macaws, cockatiels, lovebirds, and other small animals. The Veterinary Doctor will be responsible for ensuring the health, welfare, and medical care of birds and small animals in the park. The role includes preventive healthcare, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition planning, and supporting breeding and conservation programs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Examine birds and animals regularly to assess health status. Diagnose and treat diseases, infections, and injuries

· Administer vaccinations and preventive treatments. Maintain quarantine and isolation protocols.

· Handle and treat exotic bird species (macaws, parrots, cockatiels, etc.)

· Manage stress-free handling and rehabilitation of birds. Ensure aviary hygiene and biosecurity measures

· Develop diet plans for different bird species. Monitor feed quality and nutritional intake

· Coordinate with caretakers for feeding schedules

· Maintain medical records for all animals. Track treatments, vaccinations, and health reports. Prepare periodic health and audit reports

· Guide staff on hygiene, feeding, and early disease detection. Coordinate with management for animal welfare improvements

Education

· B.V.Sc & A.H (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry)

· Valid Veterinary Council Registration

Experience

· 2 to 3 year Experience with birds/exotic animals preferred

· Knowledge of avian medicine is a strong advantage

Language:

• English (Required), Hindi

Salary:

• 2,40,000 to 4,80,000 per Anum (As per experience)
